Maybe I should be posting this in the weight weenies forum:

I've seen carbon and Kevlar and PBO spokes....I'm not sure what to make of these. I didn't see a cost, so I'm guessing they are $$$.

Doesn't appear that you can buy just the spokes....
not that I would.

Just sent them a message. I'm curious as well. I'm not really looking to abandon traditional spokes any time soon, but if there's another option out there I'd be interested to check out the technology at least. We'll see how expensive they are I guess.

They don't look like plastic.
They look much more like the woven kevlar spokes ADA laminated into rims.

Not my cup of tea, but if you can tension them properly, they can be strong.

Kevlar is a plastic, too. So is Spectra. This is just another high tensile strength polymer fiber.

The coolest spokes I've ever seen were piano wire - heat treated carbon steel wire is so much stronger than soft stainless steel, but you can't use a traditional nipple. The hubs had bails, like for tuning a piano. Sooooo light.

The question that always comes to mind with these 'too good to be true' items is how much? Haven't seen suggestions of pricing anywhere.
