Do you have equipment you used well to the end of its life before you replaced it?

I'll throw in my daily beater's Panaracer Pasela, which served from 2005 (still got the original receipt) on the munich city streets :)

2005??? And I thought I had like a record with a argentinian made training tubular, that thing last me maybe 7 years and had to retire it because the sidewalls were dry like paper.

to be brutally honest, it didn't see much use in its first couple of years, and i suspect that, when it did, all the softeners had vanished already. It *Did* see some use then, i wolud clock it at about 20000-25000 km.

The new specimen on the pic i bought in the same batch, so i recon it will last the rest of my life easily.

Yep, the sidewalls suffered a little tiny bit:

Also have those pedal cleats. They are Keywin so what they look like on the underside doesn't affect function. Had to retire them because they had worn down to a 1/3 of the original thickness.
