So there I was Saturday, standing in the rain, airing up my tires to begin a century. When I was done with the rear, I screwed down the valve on my Michelin tube, and air started whooshing straight out of the valve, even when tight. I said some nasty words, and changed the tube and finally got on my soggy way.
Now I'm wondering what went wrong with the valve. It doesn't appear bent or loose, but it leaks. Do you folks have some wisdom on this issue?
