Ritchey P-29er tire fitment Size

For those who have the newer tapered head tube Ritchey p-29er, Have you been able to fit 29 x 2.4 tires in the rear? Specifically a Maxxis ardent. I feel like this may be a dumb question seeing that the website says max tire clearance 2.25. I just wanted to see if anyone has done so since all tires are different. Thanks!:banana:
