My search on this topic didn't show anything; I apologize if this is duplicative to older posts but figured it's worthwhile to refresh even if that's the case.
I noticed a Silca wallet product made in part of recycled rubber, and contacted Silca's partner Ecologic Designs (http://www.ecologicdesigns.com/) about whether they would accept shipments for re-use. They do — you can ship them to the address below (I expect our Boulder pals may already know about this). They offered the following guidance:
Send tubes (except thorn resistant, slime and miscellaneous rubber parts such as bar or rim tape and tires);
Cut the tubes to help get any air out and allow better packing (fine to include the valve stem).
