Anyone having issues with Avast antivirus or Trend Micro antivirus removing some normally 'benign' executables? In the last couple of days, these two A/V's have been cleaning/quarantining some executable files that have, heretofore, been 'just fine'. That is: I've been running them for months with no other known issues.
In the Trend product, it seems that it's something other than the real time scanning as I've attempted to turn that scan off. However, it only identifies the 'trojan-gen32' issue ONLY when I try to launch the program. As long as I don't run it, it does not remove. It should be noted that this is a proprietary piece of software that gets removed; not something I just 'downloaded from the internet'.
Avast started it on Monday night. Trend started on Tuesday night.
