Best big tire fit Campagnolo Record brakes ?

What years and model of Campagnolo Record brakes will fit the biggest tires ?

I usually run 28mm Tubular that measure out right at 28mm.

It depends a lot of the frame too but in my c50 and the 486sl I have I can go all the way to 27 P-R challenge tubbies and still have room in the rear wheel, still need to test the front one but i suspect that 28 is like the max in those two forks.

Some tires or tubulars go wider and arent that tall, so it depends a lot of the brand and design of the tire aswell IMO.

If double pivot you can easily clear 29mm. i use 28mm Vittoria on ENVE 4.5 which measures roughly 29mm

2015 Chorus and above 'seem' to take bigger tires..particularly Chorus(made by TRP)....but brake bridge placement and fork crown effects this a lot.
These 2017 Chorus. The barrel adjuster is threaded into the caliper arm.

I was disappointed to find that my pair like the black ones above had significantly less clearance than older solid-arm ones... if that's a data point.

Ok...tested the fit in the front in my 2 bikes and 27 P/R challenge fits well, theres room for 28 and maybe even 29, campy record black double pivot.

I'm using tubulars tho, tubulars rims diameter is tad smaller than clincher rims tho.

Clearance for overall wheel diameter might be slightly improved with a narrower rim... mine hit the tire when the cable was disconnected, but when adjusted for riding they cleared quite well.

Agreed. The newer version of both chorus and record seems to clear bigger tires. I don’t recall my record 2012 being able to clear 27mm.
Now with 2015+ caliper 28-29mm no problem.
Also not sure you are aware; if you have difficulties clearing, the new shifters have a toggle pin on top of the shifter lever which commands slack on caliper cable. Pretty much the same as the mini lever at the caliper of Shimanos. That should help with install/removal of your wheels

Actually a 'feature' of ERGO starting in 1991/2..a carry over from Deltas after they re-introduced them about 1986 or so.

I thought only potenza and the generic was made by tektro. Well and maybe the centaur
