Was listening to Adam Levine on stern this week and he was lementing the lack of music videos and it got me thinking...how sad that they are no more (or less prevalent).

Some bands still make them, but sadly there is no great place to see them, at least that I know of.

Got any favs?

I’ll kick it off with one that is becoming an oldie but still a goodie, atmo of course:

Paul Thomas Anderson recently directed some videos for Radiohead's new album. They're all pretty great.

Daydreaming is my personal favorite from the last batch:

Pretty much everything Spike Jonze and Chris Cunningham did. The late 90s were a great time for music videos. Would have to agree with Sabotage as my fav.

I don't find myself really seeking out music videos, but I do love rock docs, concert films and other live footage.

Somehow, though, recently I came across several videos Dan Auerbach put out for his most recent album which are kinda fun.
Waiting on a Song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDoufWQns1c)
King of a One Horse Town (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RDBp_ofQL8)
Shine on Me (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfVRCDb0G8Q)
Stand By My Girl (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASggLTKljI4)

This one from Beck.
Up All Night (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj08Ni3tklw)

And these from the Barnett/Vile colab.

I love the originality OKGO have in their music videos. Often done in one take as well! Kinda makes me revel in awe of their creativity and patience.

And on that note.... Baraka should probably be on this list.

It's essentially an hour and a half long minimalist composition/experimental music video
