I realize this is a hail Mary but, since I've had some success before, figured I'd give it a shot. I'm missing a part from my Thule fork-mount roof rack; it's the mechanism that secures the rear portion of the rail to the crossbar:

Thule's replacement parts site is useless, and it's difficult to judge others' parts catalog. Someone (CrazyScientist?) recommended Rocky Mounts and I've sent them an email. So whether you've got something collecting dust in your garage or can recommend a supplier for a replacement part, I appreciate it.

yup.

the rockymounts stuff is solid, and they are a great company.

this thing, for $5, is almost certainly exactly what you need. well, it's a modern version of what you need. it'll work.

also, just for the note, i'm also rehabbing some older Thule fork mount racks i bought at an REI garage sale a few weeks ago. most of the parts are pretty universal and play nicely together.

Yep, that is exactly the part that I emailed them about. Thanks for confirming.

(Also, apologies for substituting 'Crazy' for 'Angry' -- not sure what that says about me.)

And if you're looking to unload these parts from your rehab effort, I'm happy to throw you some coin rather than Rocky Mounts, just let me know.

P.S. Paceline is the greatest.

Do you have an LBS nearby that sells Thule racks or maybe an REI? I would try to find one and see if they have some parts lying around. I needed that flat plate you have pictured and was able to find one at one of my LBS.

Thanks; the Rocky Mounts part that AngryScientist pointed me to is exactly what I needed, at a can't-be-beat price.
