Hi forumites, I was wondering, with the trend moving towards tapered forks, are builders able to make lugged tapered head tubes?

I am a big fan of lugs, but this is one application where the result is aesthetically not right....IMO.

A big part of that is the hideous fork. IMHO

Those are the first IC lugs I have seen for a what I believe is a straight 44 HT (with a tapered steerer). I don't beleive anyone is making cast lugs, so you won't see many, though I'm sure someone is handmaking them on occassion.
This is a lugged/ bilam frame I did for a truly tapered head tube and shaped top and down tubes.

1000% fantastic, really beautiful, and a really great solution.
Eric, how does the fork look relative to the HT, directly from the side?

That is a tapered steel fork I made, so it might look a little different with something else, but you can see the full gallery here (http://www.winterbicycles.com/projects/the-velvet-hammer/).

If you're going tapered, I think bi-lam is the only aesthetic approach that makes sense.
Or just go 44mm and weld the darn thing.

Wow, that side view really underscores the awfulness of that entire package.
Complete dissonance on all levels.
Here's a couple more views of the Winter by comparison...really really nice.
