so is anyone going to take in stages @ TDG?

Yeah,
I'm going down for the stages on Saturday and Sunday. I hope to make it up the mountain for the Saturday finish??? I'm not certain what time the road will close and how early I should start in order to get to the top or close to the top. I just read this AM that Super Mario is going to be there; first time in the US since 1996.

mickey, if you want to see mario, maybe see a stage before they get to the mountains! super mario doesn't seem to like going up. :p

does anyone know if the mountain stages are anything like the wintergreen (i think it was called) stage of the old tour dupont? that was one, serious mountain.

if i'm back from my trip, i'd like to take in stages 5 & 6. it will be interesting to see cipollini ride some of those climbs, which i expect him to do, considering that he has pledged to finish the tour. can you imagine cipollini's agony as he grinds up the alp d'huez TT? i can't wait.

my bro is going and he said there is one mountain that is supposed to be a cruel thing or torture. He is of course taking his cross bike so he can try to ride it.

It will be interesting to see how Horner does against some of the big European riders like Jens Voight, Jakob Piil, etc.
