Eurus (OS hub) wheel came with a shimano FHB... a new FHB depending where I get that will be like 100 bucks that I dont have... a conversion cassette is almost the same...

The other option is to trade it for a campagnolo one here at the forums maybe?

Sell the wheel? :D

Is it 11-speed? If so, just use a Shimano cassette and it shift fine. I use Shimano cassettes/free hubs with my Campy setups.

Same here... 11sp will run flawlessly regardless. I have S11 freehub body on my Record hubs and use an Ultegra cassette with Chorus 11 and it shifts beautifully.

Sadly I want it for 10 speed... but hmm... I could save the wheel when i move to 11 but will take like years to do it hehehe

It sounds like you want to use Shimano 10s shifters and RD with that wheel for a while yet. Here's a thought. It looks like Jtek's #1 shiftmate (http://www.jtekengineering.com/shiftmate/shiftmate-compatibility-charts-choices/) will let that combo work with a Campy 10s cassette. Use a Veloce cassette and a Campy or KMC chain.

In my experience, the Veloce cassette shifts just fine, it lasts pretty long, and it's pretty inexpensive. I think the price is comparable to 105 or Ultegra 10s cassettes, something like $40-50. And I can confirm that even though the Veloce cassette is all loose cogs, it won't gouge an alloy freehub body. You can't say the same about Shimano (although the gouges can be filed down).

Used 1st gen Campy 11 spd levers and a 105 level cassette would get you there, for $200 or so, probably... perhaps even less.

I used a jtek before with an 11 lever over 10 cassette, worked fine... I think gonna have to bite the bullet and buy the freehub body... so guys buy the stuff I have for sale! :P

Anybody needs a shimano FHB?? with the lockring obviously...

I may have another freehub here in addition to the Eurus wheel we talked about. To be clear, I know I have a freehub but am not sure it's the right one.

If it's for the oversized aluminum axle(BIG hole for axle, not 12mm for steel or ti), it will fit onto that aluminum axle..both the older Campag FH body and new 'lobed' one fit onto either axle..the new FH body does not fit onto older axle.

I know there are like 2 models FH-BO015 and the FH-Buu15, one is the upgrade of the other one but are interchangeable. Looks like the BUU is the upgraded part and now that one is listed as 9/10/11 speed while the 0015 was listed only as 9/10 and we all know that as long as it works with it will work with 11 aswell.

I believe 2006 is the year campagolo did the upgrades to some line up of wheels, this takes me to this. and what happens to the record black hubs? those are OS, they use this same FHB parts right?

Oliver, will email you tonite...

Innards of Record hubs unchanged since 1999 thru today(cones, bearings, FH. Bearings, seals, etc) except for FHB and axle And as mentioned, 2005-1999 FHB fits on all OS, aluminum axle hubs.

I have this one labeled as a FH-RE415, from a 2004 Neutron. It has 17 mm bearing ID.

Were the changes made to address the cracking problem?

Man this is so confusing sometimes :) Because one source can say something, other one says another and since IMO campagnolo screwed up again as usual making the stuff slightly different all the way between models and years, this can get really confusing :D

For example this...

I think the only way to know what I need is to check out that darn axle... well that will happen tonite, gtg to work now :/

Yes, only Record, with titanium pawl carrier, caused cracked FHB but they changed the Chorus and Centaur also. BUT for the OP, your wheel has an aluminum axle, and can use either the older FHB or newer FHB...both fit just fine on that 17mm oversized aluminum axle. You are fretting about nothing, IMHO.

For shimano FHB and Campagnolo hubs..the steel shimano FHB(dark colored) fits on any axle, new or old..the white, aluminum, fits onto 2006+ axles only..They changed the axle and FHB because they were solving a problem with them(splitting)...not 'just because'...

and use your 10 speed campy shifters and rear mech
works with 9 or 10 speed chain

10s Campy has different cog-cog spacing than 10s Shimano, it has variable cog-cog spacing across the range, and the cassette width is different. Why not just add the shiftmate?
