Important: Server migration on 1 Sep 2017

I am planning to migrate our forum to a different server tomorrow morning (1 Sep 2017). I don't know exactly when this will happen, but will post a notice as soon as I figure out when and how long this will be down.

Migrations are tense--and you need to have a clear head and not feel pressured to 'geterdone'

(there was that time when I broke the main research server at the Uni where I was doing computer support because I tried to rush it :no:)

I have rescheduled the server migration for this afternoon. I want to get this done before we get smacked by Hurricane Irma. Sorry about this short notice, but I'm shooting for a start time of 4 to 5pm EDT and it will be down for a while. I'll post an exact time when I know more.
