Anyone else ever experienced this? Just unpacked some 8 month old Pro 4 Service Course (the dark blue), and the blue is sticking to my fingers. There's big patches where I can just see threading.

I'm guessing it's fine, but aesthetically it looks like cr@p.

Ever have this happen to you?

Where did you order it from? I've ordered bar tape from Amazon, that I'm pretty sure was a few years old, and had sun staining on parts of it.

Could be defective or could it be NVOS, as in, VERY old stock.

(thanks for the edit tip)

Bought the tires here, great seller, great price. Of the two tires I bought, one is fine, the other is a disaster.

If you've ever had to dispose of grandma's old, ultra-low mileage car after she's passed on, you'll discover that rubber ages according to its own timetable, whether it's used or not. I can't tell you whether the decomposing tire is safe to ride, that's up to you. But unless you store your tires in a cool dark cellar (like US Postal's mechanic) tires have to be used immediately.
