I have a smarter trainer for actual indoor training, but it's too nice and heavy to bring to races and leave in my SUV.
I was looking at this Tacx Blue Twist, which is $169 MSRP.
Problem is that you have to set the lever before getting on the bike. So I'm wondering if you still get a range of resistance from just varying the speed of your wheel. If so, about how much range do you get?
My FTP is 270watts, and I expect to be warming up in the 170 to 230 watt range.
Will this trainer work for me?
