been a lurker for a while. enjoy reading the very informative posts. great contributions y'all make.

my post is about the value of older ciocc bike. not sure what it's worth. my sister wants to sell it and i've volunteered to help. she bought it used in the early 90's.

to the best of her knowledge here are some details and pics. any help you provide would be appreciated. TIA!

San Cristobol
50 cm frame (smaller)
Durace components- Shimano 105 brakes
campy crankset/chain ring
original paint

If I had to give you a number, with the mix of parts (campag crank, duraacci rd,105 brakes),and overall condition, I'd think you could get $300-$325 for the bike.

On Seattle CL, I'd ask $500 for it. Don't know about other markets.

Really need pic of each component. It's tough to build up a frame buying decent individual parts for less than $400. I'd guess you could net at least that much parting it out.

I think that $500ish would be a good starting point. It looks to be in good shape and Ciocc seem to sell for a little more than similar quality frames.

Better pictures would be helpful. That is a very small frame. Not sure what is up with the green painted "highlights" on the frame.

I think this bike would sell primarily as a rider. It's not really old enough to be vintage and the component set is too modern. $500 might be a good starting point if it is ready to ride but it is hard to tell what kind of mechanical condition it's in from the pictures.
