Looking at purchasing a deda newton bar/stem in shallow drop. But I can only get the newton bar in the 31.6 width. Am I better off to go with the Deda 215 in the normal 26mm width? Is there any advantage to either size???

there's no advantage to one size over the other. Before you make your final decision, consider the Oval Concepts bar and stem. They make a near identical bend, but the stem is a thing of beauty.

where can they be ordered from if my lbs doesn't have them?

I have the Oval Concepts R700 stem. I hate it. It is a major pain in the *** to get to the bolts since they are positioned behind the clamp instea of in front of it. And the quality and finish ain't nuthing to write home about either.
Go with the Deda.
