I have been an Oakley customer for years. Started with Radars and then customizing my Radars, then moved onto the jawbreakers. The quality of their frames and lenses are top notch. The thought of going outside of Oakley since I've been nothing but Oakley for so long never crossed my mind. But.....

Been wanting to try on 100% glasses for a LOOOONG time now, even if just to try on and say that I have, but nobody in a 200 mile radius carried them. Even when they started to become a little more popular, I still didn't care for the shape of the frame/lens. Then, they started to grow on me a little more and a little more. Then Sagan got sponsored and I started seeing them pop up more often on social media. I still didn't LOVE the look of them, but the interest was definitely there. Went to one of my LBS today on my lunch just to say hi to a couple friends and noticed they had the 100% displayed in their case. Asked to try them on and OH MY WORD! They are SO comfortable. I love my jawbreakers, but these are FAR more comfortable (For me). They are lighter, they have a softer rubber ear which not only is more comfortable and gives less ear fatigue, but grips the side of my head better than the jawbreakers. I had always wished the jawbreakers maintained the softer ear sock like the radar had. I found the radar to be more comfortable in that way. The 100% also has 2 nose pieces, which is great for me because I have high cheek bones and without the secondary piece that pushes them further out, they would sit on my cheeks. The lens is superb and pictures just dont do it justice. Every pair of 100% speedcraft comes with a clear lens also in the hard carrying case. The case itself is very nice. Rugged and will do a great job protecting them while also having 2 slots for extra lenses.

Sure the shape/design of the frame/lens may not be for everyone, but if you have a LBS that carries them and you currently wear jawbreakers, I urge you to go try them on and see how they feel on you. I'll still keep a couple pair of my jawbreakers that I have customized for specific kits I wear, but I'll be interested to see which ones I end up reaching for more often here on out!

I've been looking for better coverage glasses, unfortunately the website has precious little info on the lenses other than a video demo where you can "see though" the options.

What lens did you get?

I got the ice blue standard lens, not the SL (short lens)

I don't have a picture of me wearing them while on the bike yet, but I'll see of I can upload the shot I took in my garage. They look like they were made to be worn with a kask protone helmet!

We were one of the first markets to get em and the local 100 rep is super cool but man i couldn't make em work. The softer arms had such weak grip I thought they bounced too much......and the elevated design of the frame in front kept interfering and taping the bottom lip/rim of my helmet.

I think they look pimpy......just couldn't get passed the faults....

cool they're working for you though

On my throwback days I ride with Oakley Eyeshades

I've been pretty curious about the Oakley Wind Jacket 2.0, on a related note to Eyeshades. They're marketed as a skiing sunglass but apparently some cyclists are riding in them. I missed the boat when they re-released the Eyeshade a few years ago and am kicking myself.
