I've got this older CX bike that I'd like to either sell to fund a new build, or to fix it up and set it up as a "beater" bike camping bike/s24o build with baskets and racks. I'd like to go flared drops or something like the Jones bars if that's the case, but the carbon fork is getting in the way of my rack aspirations etc. Any suggestions for a steel fork with fork blade mounts that wouldn't look too out of place on this bike? Probably with canti mounts rather than disc.

I just sold a blue Voodoo Wazoo kind of like that one. Mine was 853 with the non-sliding dropouts. Looking at your bike makes me miss it, but the fit was never quite right for me- short top tube.

It split time between being a race/dirt road/off road bike (with an Ouzo Pro cross fork) and a townie with a front basket and flat bars. I used the Tange Prestige Lugged fork (https://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=48484&category=1640) for the latter setup.

I had a Wazoo CX at one point. Mine had a 1" fork. I had it powdercoated and used a carbon Nashbar CX with aluminum steerer that had both disc and canti mounts. I've used the same fork to mount cantis and a Velo Orange randonneur rack.

If your frame takes a 1" fork I still have a lightly used aforementioned fork I'll let go cheap.

Edit: Looks like your current fork has a drilled crown so you could mount a randonneur rack to which to zip tie a Wald basket. As for fork blade mounts, I wouldn't hesitate to strap Anything cages to the Nashbar fork blades; it's pretty robust.

Surly Cross Check fork is the simple and affordable answer. Comes in 1" and 1 1/8" for under $100.

The All-City Space Horse fork is a little nicer but only comes in 1 1/8".

It's carbon with an alloy steerer and disc only but it's got rack mounts galore

Good thing your Wazoo has disc mounts in the rear!

Switching to disc on this bike doesn't make a lot of sense to me - new fork, wheels, brakes - might as well build up a new frame at that point.
