Hideous.

BTW, you are talking about the crank, right?...?

I've seen those Rovals. Who are they for though. They weigh about as much (or more) than an alloy set of clinchers. maybe those hub flange things make em super aero and worth it.

But, maybe somebody likes ugly, or maybe they ride pretty.

On the off chance that they actually serve some functional purpose that couldn't be served in a less fugly manner (HIGHLY unlikely, but possible I guess), the least they coulda done was made it black so it would only stand out a little bit. I agree, they should be shot.

We will all think they're ugly until the pros start riding them....
Just like the Shimano 10-speed cranks.

Specialzed says they are very aero. (more aero than the trispoke)

The flanges are very narrow at the front, and the extended flange diameter
is to keep the spoke angle to the rim the same for lateral stiffness.

Personally, I think the plan is to make the competition laugh so hard,
they forget to pedal.

One alternative is to put the wheels in large brown paper bags so they don't look as ugly. Cycling is suppose to be beautiful. :p

Another option is to put the brown paper bag on your head so nobody you know recognises you riding something so pig ugly.

I hope they hold up better than the original Roval wheels.

Smacks of Bigwheel plastic. Wonder if they make the same noise?

I have doubts dbrk will be stashing these for future builds.

If functional, they might not be so bad in black.
