I will.

Did the cycling leg of a triathlon Saturday (my least slow of the three disciplines, but by no means fast), pulled weeds in the garden Sunday, and a longish ride on Monday. In fact, I should be in bed right now. Early start tomorrow.

Yep. Mebbe 45 or so with a large and somewhat irresponsible pack--mostly a local team called NCVC (not my own--haven't raced for a while now so I just sit in now and again).

90 miles. 20 down at a good clip to meet up with a fast 50 mile training ride then a comfortable 20 home. Very humid and dark threatening skies the whole ride but we only got cought in a few sprinkles. Took a nice shower and came over to the shop to feed the cats and now it's pouring down gods own rain. it's only four blocks home but I'll get soaked to the bone doing it. guess I'll just build a bike or two and wait it out, my day off

I hooked up with about 50 riders who invaded my davis island turf from st.pete ,i rode back to st pete with them . a cop with a radar gun said we were going 34 over the bridge he was out getting speeders. i love my merckx corsa it loves a ride like that .i didn't sit in i was one of the 10 guys who worked over the bridge . no helmet day i wasn't expecting to be riding in a pack all was well though
cheers

Made breakfast for the family then got 2hours in - in the rain. Considering just 2 weeks ago it was 100-114 the whole previous month - Rain is great!

Have a good ride

I just rode in Appleton, WI on my red Croll. Sorry, weak excuse for a ride, but the fact remains that if all my skin is still on the outside and the bones are on the inside there is no such thing as a bad ride.

Got caught in a major downpour, but so what. Added 38 miles to my season.

Made my 9th notch on the top tube today. The stats weren't impressive, but the day certainly was. It was bike crazy out there.

As pal Mikemets put it, "If you aren't riding your bike today you might as well sell it."

Perfect day.

but no Cindy Crawford sightings...

The wife and I left at about 7:45 from Malibu and did about a 45 mile ride out and back. Weather started around 68 and went up to 82. Beautiful day all around.

Went to a great BBQ joint for a late lunch and then a bit of shopping before we stopped and had a coffee and brownie.

Great day all around! Great food, great weather and great company...

Hope everyone else had as nice a day,

Steve

ugh

ate two pizzas by myself on sunday, along with 4 bagel sandwiches and a pack of waffles at breakfast. didn't ride. it was one of those i'm all sore and tired and really hungry so i'm just going to eat and sleep all day type of things. of course i ended up riding in a car to see fstrthnu ride really fast up a nasty hill a couple of times.

woke up today feeling just good enough to ride. got 42 miles in two hours in your basic elevated cortisol and plumetting testosterone fest, got home, ate a rolled up lavosh sandwich longer than a mtb seatpost that my wife bought to last her for a few days worth of lunches, and went to sleep.

four days of really easy recovery and off to elon and winston-salem....

hey

been watching "rome" on dvd. its a cheesy sword-sex-sandal-soap opera. there's this guy in there who is a dead ringer for sean yates. a naked chick every episode. now that's tv.

What a day I had - it was my birthday which I began with a 50 mile ride and finished with a fantastic steak and nice glass of ride wine. Not a bad labor day!

Breakfast with the fam. then 2 1/2 hours of single track (plus 10 min. spin to/from the trail) with one of my oldest cycling buds. A great day.

caught up to two of my pals and a guy named Ed on the way out and tagged along with them. Nice ride. Roads I'm not familiar with, at least not in that direction. Ed's a guy that's been around forever and could have disappeared over the horizon in a puff of dust but didn't. I laughed a little to myself because a couple times I pulled ahead on a downhill and Ed kind of cruised by me and pulled in... a "don't make me show what I can do" type deal. Keeps a ride what it ought to be, not crazed, just casual friendly.
