This (http://www.bicycling.com/culture/why-professional-golfer-camilo-villegas-is-crazy-about-cycling?utm_campaign=Bicycling&utm_source=bicycling.com&utm_medium=newsletter&smartcode=YN_0025833783_0001625179&sha1hashlower=12706cbaff896b2ab9525c5e6728accf81e9 8821&md5hash=eb76f584ecee091c05159e22e90d33db) was a fun article to read about Camilo Villegas and cycling.. Admittedly, I haven't heard of him but then I don't follow golf too closely.

Thought it was something positive about our sport and kinda cool that he echos the same reasons for enjoying the sport.

Very cool article, he does have great taste in bikes (for those who didn't read the full article, he owns a Firefly).

Great, I did not realize he was so into riding.

There was an interview many years back on Camillo being a cyclist. Taylormade even gave him a bike with custom deep aero wheels with their logo blasted on it.

Thank you for posting. I enjoyed it.
Didn't know what a foam roller was either, but now I do. :)

EDIT: Mavic1010 - that was the piece I photographed him for.

I photographed Camilo a few years ago for Golf Digest and we spent an hour with him drafting behind my element while I shot out the back. He is fast. He's the type of rider that will show up on a group ride and rip your legs off. He rides a ton when he goes home to Columbia and is a big Quintana fan (no surprise).

Super good dude. He told me he'd ordered that Firefly when we met. He was riding a Dogma at the time.

I remember when he joined the PGA Tour, he was immediately noted for his fitness. Not so long ago pro golfers were generally out of shape, esp pre-Tiger. That has definitely changed over the last decade. Personally I love to play a round after a long ride - great way to loosen up the legs without too much stress (unless you're playing Bethpage Black).

That's too cool. 150 lbs...and if he has an FTP of 300...he will be hard to beat on a club ride when it goes uphill...
