I picked these Giro Empire SLX up from Western Bikeworks.

Super light. 192 grams each.

First ride tomorrow.

Nice! I just got the Giro Empire ACC shoes from moots about a month ago, really nice light and comfortable shoes. I think you will enjoy them!

I got the other SLX, velcro instead of laces (not a fan of laces) and man, they are so damn light, pretty impressive. Great shoes so far, after 1 ride.

I almost bought the ACC's from Moots. Killer price.

But I live in NM and it's hot and I wanted the lightest and most ventilated shoes I could get.

Those look super narrow. maybe it is just the perspective, but my wide Fred Flintsone feet hurt just looking at them.

Very nice. Giro's new tech-lace shoes look real nice. Too bad Giro does not make shoes with wide lasts.

bought the same shoes, same color from the same place 3 or 4 months back. I like them. Nice acquisition.

They are. Great shoes if you can fit into them, but for anyone with a wide-ish forefoot, they're tight.

Broke the equivalent of a Boa ratchet thingy on my Sidi Ergo 3's during my ride Thursday. Didn't have the replacement part on hand, couldn't find one at any shops nearby. Needed shoes for a century today. Picked up a pair of Bontrager XXX shoes yesterday, put new cleats on them and kept my fingers crossed for today. Very happy with the comfort, stiffness, and overall performance.
