The reach on my newly-installed 6700 levers seems very short. They look like they are half engaged. Most annoying. I am relatively new to 10sp shimano, but I do have a set of 5700 that are nothing like that. These 6700 do not have the reach adjustment screw, but they do have the "blocks". I understand you can get them in various thicknesses... I just pulled them out so there is nothing there now. They were the 5mm. The reach still seems shorter than my 5700, which, upon inspection, also appear to have a thin block. I would not have expected the 6700 to be so significantly different. Is this by design?
