The weather is nice. I got a ride and coffee in before work. The conference call I had for work wasn't as bad as I expected and even though I'll probably be working some this weekend, that will not detract from riding and I'll still get some good family time in. I also was informed that my "new" bike (that I don't think I ordered) is on now on the boat over here.

I'm riding my first rando event tomorrow, a 100k populaire, on my new BMC Monster Cross, which I really love. Here it is in front of Mt. Rainier, on a climb over Chinook pass last week.

Got in 50 miles on my Serotta this morning with my buddy. Didn't sustain any wind damage in last nights storm. Nobody has started a Sagan thread in the last few minutes.

My wife and I just got back from visiting Utah. Capitol Reef for the first time so now we've been to all five parks. We also went back to Moab and Canyonlands, Arches. I love the scenery of Southern Utah.

Made it out to Barton Springs for an evening swim with the family twice this week. The water is still C-O-L-D! Fortunately, there was a good current coming from a couple of the springs. The aquifer must be pretty full right now. That's a good thing!

Went to one of my favorite LBS here in Spokane to visit. A rep for a major bike brand was there and he bought me a burrito for lunch. I don't own one of his brand but he didn't care. Nice.

I'm still here. And still have hair.

Drs say new treatments seem to be working, at least a bit!

TDF is on, and it's pretty good to sleep to.

All in all pretty positive news , at least for me.

Met Bianchi10 this morning to buy a bar (great guy), and got out this afternoon for a ride with Imaking (also a great guy) under perfect skies in Portland. New wheels waiting for me when I got home. And I've got a long ride planned tomorrow to celebrate turning 38 🕺[emoji322]. Life is good.

Hard to brag about your kids around my neighborhood, someone always gets their panties in a bunch. You guys don't know me so here goes, my daughter just found out she crushed her AP Calc exam with a 5 and did quite well with AP US History with a 4. Along with the 1490 she got on her SATs I couldn't be more proud.

Spend time with your kids, even to the detriment of earning money, it pays off.

Yay! Congratulations.
When we leave this place, we leave behind three things. Our reputation, our kids, and our bikes. It sounds like you've got one of those covered.

Yes, survived surgery this morning on my hand. Had an off last week, besides the usual road rash to my noise, knee and shoulder, tore the medial ligaments in my right thumb. The surgery was successful in sewing things back together, the down side pulling on the bars is going to be a bit difficult for some time as it’s looking like 6 weeks in a summer cast.

Thanks but I think two of those are similar. If I leave behind great kids I think my reputation will be fine. Other than that I just have old steel campy equipped bikes...

Remind me to stop complaining about my situation. It certainly doesn't look that bad.
