Hi, First Time Poster, My names Scott and I have a small collection of large bikes.

I just picked up this Colnago on ebay with a really bad description that was also in German. I took a gamble and it is in good condition sans the paint. I figured when I had it in my hands I would be able to learn more about it but I haven't had much luck.

Was wondering if y'all had any thoughts.

Only the downtube is fluted, theres internal routing on the top tube, and chromed lugs under the paint (where is isnt obviously chrome).

Thanks!

Looks like a Master. But it doesn't have the seattube and toptube in the Gilco tubing shapes.

Well could be a repaired bike. Never seen a master with only one gilco tube.

The paint job looks like a repaint job, that could explain my 1st statement.

ps: the top front tube lug looks odd, but no idea if they used a lug with a hole in it.

ps: op would you be interested in a Eddy Merckx team telecom (64 cm)???

Not a Master. I bet it's a "Conic" from the early/mid 90s. They had a shaped downtube.

The head lug with cutouts is common on early 90s colnagos. My 1991 Super Piu had the same lugs.

That looks like a Conic.

Here's an example: https://www.steel-vintage.com/colnago-spiral-conic-columbus-slx-campagnolo-croc-d-aune-121214-detail
