On a bicycle you'll see many things. Today at 6am on my way to work on a normally desolate corner were a gathering of somber face folks and almost everyone had a coffee in their hand. Someone was reading an eulogy. Apparently a regular at the corner coffee shop had passed and these kind people gathered to celebrate his life. I remember this cat, he was not the pope. Wasn't full of wise words nor did he rule the roost from a seat. As I remember him the guy was a friendly face who liked dogs and smiled.
So that's it folks. Your simple life may be all that is required. Ride well, scratch dogs and keep your chain clean. People are good.
