What is the best rim for Specialized Renegade 1.8" 2Bliss tires?

I tried the previous/ original Stan's Arch wheel and it was an exercise in futility trying to stretch it onto the rim.

What is a good 32 hole fairly light, but strong disc rim. I assume that a 21mm or 23mm internal width is best for the 1.8" tire. I will be using this for a disc gravel/ CX build.

Also, should a look for a UST or TCS rim to work best with the Specialized 2Bliss bead to set up tubeless?

I've been able to set spec tires up on countless rims. Is it cheaper to find a new tire than a new rim?

2Bliss should work with any beaded or beadless rim. They use a softer rubber in the bead area so it confirms to the rim bead. You MUST run sealant with 2Bliss - it's not like a ust tire that is sealed.

notubes crest, easton R90SL, WTB KOM, hed belgium, easton arc 24. LOTS of good options out there right now.

I would use a 23mm internal rim. I run 48mm tires that measure ~51mm on Crest Mk3 rims. Super light; no complaints thus far.

What are you thoughts on the tubeless ready Kinlin TL-23 (with a 23mm internal)?

From what I saw the Renegade is a 29er mtb tire that should work with Stan's tape tubeless system.
Probably a rim using tape or a rim strip should work but not UST or TCS which is tubeless UST bead using sealant.

Oldpotatoe- Thanks for the Velocity recommendation. Looking at their chart, the new "Quill" rim would seem to be best. The Specialized Renegade 1.8 tires are about 46mm in width.

No direct experience, but the specs look good.

Cliffhanger from Velocity??

Even if you need a bombproof rim, it doesn't have to weigh 675g. I'm a fan of Velocity products, but that rim has limited appeal.
