I was salivating over ee brakes that are now distributed by cane creek.

One of several features I love about them is the tool-less brake shoes so that you can replace the pads quickly.

Are there any brake shoe mfg-ers out there that offer the same? I notice that BBB cycling brake shoes don't seem to have a screw to fiddle with.

Standard brake holders on Shimano and others, they have a small screw in them to hold the pads. But they aren't necessary really. The pads get forced into the holder due to riding. So it's kind of a pointless piece. I've pulled them before and never had an issue. So they can be 'Tool-less' too.

You're right. The entry point of the shoes is such that they cant slip out.

Thanks for backing that up with experience!

Those guys in Vicenza made tool-less pad carriers for a long time.

You better have some hand strength tho.

Campy just have a small clip that you pull out and slide the pads out.
Very simple to change pads between alloy and carbon pads.
