Hello

I just bought my S & S box (for my beautiful S & S bike) today and unfortunately I am not sure it will get here on time for me to use it for this labor day. I was hoping someone in the Detroit area would let me borrow (with deposit if needed) the box so I could travel to CA for labor day weekend with my bike.

Thanks Sam

I am no help to you as far as getting here....

But, assuming you and your bike get here, where will here be?

(ie: wanna ride?)

I don't have an S & S case, but if you're in a pinch, I do have a soft bike case that you're more than welcome to borrow. I've used it twice and it protected my bike very well. I also padded my bike like crazy when I packed it.

Sorry I can not help for by the time I shipped mine from NC you would be gone. Suggestion might be if they can ship it to your calif location, you then cold pack bike and bring on plane with you (in bike carton from shop) then use S&S case for return. (Yep I know it is alot of "ifs" but you might also see if case can be over nighted to you in Michigan from the supplier. It will be estra shipping but you will get it for trip.

Good luck and have a good trip/.

Continental Bikes in Hazel Park (248-545-1225?) rented hard cases the last time I checked. Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I will call continental bikes and hold onto hope someone in MI wants to let me borrow a box. I am wondering if I should try to borrow or rent some wheels in CA and just bring the bike (probably could fit it in a large suitcase (trip to salvation army).

I have a double bike box (it made the trip to SF safely in 2002 :) ) or a soft bag from my 650c Slingshot Folder you could use. A friend just used the double box for a trip to Ireland. It is a triall3sports box. Let me know.
