I realize the demographics here may not exactly be filled with hip-hop heads, but we've got a few of us out there.
Prodigy from Mobb Deep, dead at 42. No cause of death yet, but he dealt with the effects of sickle cell anemia for a long, long time.
Between Mobb Deep, Nas, Biggie and Jay Z, you could get a pretty accurate (and horrifying) picture of life in the New York City projects in the 1990s.
