I currently have my Dyno light mounted to the front rack on my Wolverine. Interested in mounting up on the handlebars somewhere and taking the rack off for shorter rides where I'm not carrying anything. Anyone have their front light mounted off the bars? The fork crown doesn't really interest me.

I modified a Barfly GoPro mount. This light position works well in casting a nice beam pattern.

Why not the crown? I leave the light bracket on all the time and made my own wingnut/shoulder bolt combo to secure the light to it. It takes a few minutes to mount the light for an overnight brevet and leaves the bars clean.

Oh man. So jealous of that. No combo mount for SRM PC8 yet or I'd do it in heartbeat.

The wingnut is slick!

I had a similar crown unit, mayble a Brompton light bracket.
