I don't understand how he could be released on $30,000 after murdering someone. Yes, that's what it was: MURDER. He got into a 2500lb vehicle and was going 55mph while intoxicated. That's much deadlier than any gun. I've never understood how crimes committed with a motor vehicle are treated more lightly than others.

And of course,

Nothing will happen to this guy .......

I say 30 years hard labor. Breaking rocks all day.

This makes me sick. These Idiots have no fear of God. The
only concept they do understand is swift justice.

What happen to the guy who plowed into a group of cyclists
last year ?

That's because cars are not evil but guns are (ignoring the fact that you have to have sentience to be evil)-:

This is the sad situation you get when you blame objects people use instead of the people and change sentencing based on what they used instead of what they did. Drunk driving is pure irresponsibility :-P

What is amazing is this quote from the article...

"Mason was pedaling about 100 yards ahead of Liu when a 1995 Nissan Sentra, after striking Liu, also hit her and knocked her off her bike, inflicting major head trauma"

This guy was so out of control driving that (1) he didn't even stop after hitting (and killing) the first victim and (2) he ran into his second victim after driving 100 more yards!!! So what did he think that first noise was? It amazes me at how many irresponsible people that exist on this planet and how no one wants to ever admit they were wrong. How many times do you hear "It wasn't my fault."
