I'm about to install an IS to Post brake mount and the mount comes with two bolts and four washers. Am I supposed to use two washers on top of each other for each bolt? I'm curious what the logic for this is if so.

Just one washer under the bolt on top of the mount.
If the bolt is too long than you can cut the bolt down or add washers.
But you should only need one washer under the bolt.

UNLESS, it's the Avid brakes and then you have concave and convex alignment/adjustment washers/spacers. That will have 4 per bolt-two under the bolt and two between the brake and adaptor.

The bolt protrudes about the length of one washer, so I guess that means I should use both washers.

Is there some standard torque to use for the bolts? The bracket has no instructions..
