I've been throwing around the idea of getting something like a Stevens P18 with a pinion gearbox, gates belt drive, disc brakes and dynamo. I would love to hear input from people who have ridden a bike like that. The only change I would make is to have drop bars instead of flats. I'd be using this to kick around the Northeast all winter long, and should probably just cool my jets and accept the fact that I'll be cleaning drivetrain every few days instead of spending thousands on a new toy. But hey, I'm on the unlimited bike budget plan because I sold my car.

This is the obvious logical culmination of the "show me" threads.

I dropped my cable subscription when every new drama started getting injected with a dose of the undead. Definitely not subscribing to this one. ;)
