I say absolutely!

With one caveat - what saddle color do you plan on using?

Again, what are our choices?

There's crazy and there's ugly. I think we've got some of both going on here.

Fortune favors the bold, so I say wrap it up. The only question left is, can you pull it off?

Do it and don't apologize for being too awesome.

Embrace the Splash tape  Nice RB-2! used to have a copy of '91 Bridgestone catalog and always wanted one of those bikes.

I might have a white saddle kicking around

other choices...ghetto tire tube, various shades of pink...these.....

I vote yes, soley because my last foray into crazy tape was met with mixed reviews.

You got to live a little.

Let's bring up the elephant in the room: your bike's paint.
That's a classic ride you have there. I feel like it's a bit premature to decorate over the glaring issue. Kind of like lip gloss over a broken tooth- fix the tooth!

Until you repaint it, go simple.

Naah...enough of the nonsense. White tape / dark blue or black saddle. Wear a crazy jersey if you must and leave the bike alone :D

I like the first Splash--but then I put a similar one on my Tecnos--and met with similar stiff opposition.

Fun is good--if it makes you smile and want to ride, why not?

Dear pinkshogun,
In case you need musical inspiration/incentive for NOT using this particular bar tape on your bicycle, here it is:

"Oh baby don't you do it, don't do it,
Don't you break my heart,
Pleeeeease don't do it, don't you break my heart..." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WoI95PTizs)

These chaps wouldn't do it, and that should be more than good enough for you.

To paraphrase our dear pal beeatnik, multi-colored splash bar tape on a "ratty dark blue and white Bridgestone RB-2" is just weirder than weird can get...even in Rode Eye Land, which is...

...not even a real, actual island...totally weird.

:D
