Burley Trailer

Is it safe to pull a Burley with a Serotta that has a St Carbon Stay? My guess is the carbon stay could get damaged by the connecting mechanism...

I only pulled ours with the mtb for that reason. I think it is safe for the child/trailer but it would not do the stay any favors.
