What parts, besides the brakes, are using "tork" bolts?

At the risk of being a mechanical detail snob, the proper name is Torx, a trademark for star fasteners.

It would be nice if all component manufacturers adopted Torx bolt heads. They are far superior to Allen, or hex-headed sockets. Far less likely that the sockets will strip.

Brake Pads, Brake caliper fixing bolt only.

I like the crank but am a bit leary of the brake design though my leariness is just cuz I don't like the black finish.

How do they look in person?

How 'bout price increase over 2006 Record? Is it gonna cost the farm to get one of those cranksets?

No price increase. Same as 06, just better.

Brakes look sweet, but the QS shifting is the most notable difference. It feels really light to shift. The grey derailer pulleys are super quiet. The crank is smooth, and my foot does not rubb like it does on a fsa-slk crank. I am loving it. I am a 170 guy, and I had to buy 172.5 because campy does not have them. I may sell these cranks if I don't like the length.

Chainring bolts are torx too, no?

You are correct, but that was true in 06 also, so I didn't note it. T25 torx is your friend. Flag down a snap-on truck and buy it. I will post a cool picture of my Hazet Vw wrench for the campy crank.

Hazet tools are very good. They are all we had at the Opel garage in Switzerland. Brings a tear.

That stuff looks good. Too bad my Cannondale will have their mega light and mega stiff crank cuz that Campy one looks cool.

You can buy a sleeve that fits the SI bottom bracket shell, that has threads. I have used them two times and it is a nice fit. I have a picture of one if you want to see it.

Will that be an 07 Orca Tony? I'm waiting for the new Orbea rep (J.R.) to come by. so far I've only seen the spy photo's. It looks very cool.

I know JR well. But no, it is an 06 model, silver. I bought a ultegra bike, and moved the parts over. It looks sweet.

Thanks

Can I have first dibs on the cranks? :D
