Trying out new wheels/tires - my front derailleur clamp seems to be limiting factor. Any options that are lower profile? That have the fixing bolt not intruding to the rear like this one?

These are inexpensive and have lots of clearance; https://www.amazon.com/Origin8-MaxFit-Front-Derailleur-Adapter/dp/B01F7G8YCC

Is there an alloy version of this? Seems the lowest profile.

Or is the carbon one fine? I'm not looking to shave grams, just want clearance.

Parlee (https://store.parleecycles.com/products/parlee-carbon-front-derailleur-clamp) is really low profile - not sure how reliable they are, I've heard differing opinions. Had one but ended up selling it and going with a band type.

I have a Parlee on one bike. No issues at all for me. I have read complaints that it's kind of flimsy when shifting but I have not had that problem. I am running Shimano 7900 and it shifts great with the Parlee clamp.

I've always been curious how you install these. Are they one piece? I can't imagine its possible to bend that open wide enough to get around a seattube without breaking....

I have a Parlee 28.6 sitting in my parts bin that I would let go for cheap if that size works for you.

I have them on two other bikes and they haven't budged once. I use the finish line carbon paste underneath and I put a little bit of clear nail polish around the upper and lower rim.

Yes, pretty flexible, just spread it apart and install..no big deal.

Yes there is an alloy Omni one - not as low profile as the CF one, but otherwise looks really good (wasn't able to post image, but easy to find on ebay).

It looks like you could gain a few MMs extra clearance if you washed the bike. :D

Have had no issues with the parlee carbon clamp. A little finicky to get set but it has been fine and is about as low profile as you can get.

Yup, easy to install. Just spread it open and away you go. A bit pricey but I am very happy with mine.

Had great results with the Omni Racer version of the Parlee carbon clamp. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase another.
