Ok. So I got a cannondale evo black inc and have the FSA BB with the SiSl2 crankset. My issue is the following:

When I tighten close to 40nM per the instructions, the crankset has a lot of drag on it. Like a "normal" push on it and it'll spin maybe 3/4 around.

I reinstalled and did 20nM and its better but still drags.

For those that had this crankset, did you notice this? Any recommendations? Should I get a different BB?

Thanks!

Is the frame PF30A or PF30?

In my experience, Hollowgrams won't spin freely a la DA or Ultra Torque and some BBs have more drag (Chris King). I get about a 3/4 turn with my current BB30a set up. Not something noticeable (or quantifiable) when riding, tho.

it's a pre 2016 evo...so PF30? At least that's what it says on the BB.

If you have the skinny fork it's PF30A.

If not, here's the correct spacer order.

Drive side: 2.5mm drive side spacer, 2mm bearing shield (bearings)
Non drive side: (bearings) 2mm bearing shield, wave washer, .5mm shims (1 to 3 required), 7.5mm non drive side spacer

yeah make sure you have the spacers correctly. You need to look at the wave washer, make sure it its not fully flat, it has to be compressed a bit but not fully flat (if fully flat the crank will not rotate very much).

That said, beatnik said it right, you don't get as much spin out of these cranks as you do out of other brands (or pf30 cranks). Mine would spin around maybe 1 full rotation, maybe 1 and a half at max when I really push it hard. I think with normal easy push 3/4 is fine

When you tighten up the crank arm how can you tell the wave washer is not fully flat??

Tighten (compress) it to the width of the washer:

Fixed!

I had too many washers. For my application, the wavy washer, two smaller washers, 7.5mm washer. Spins normal and can tighten close to 40nM without issue.

Thanks everyone!
