I just replaced a USE Cyclops with a Record seatpost. (It is a mystery to me why my bike was "designed" for a USE post.)

Campy recommends 89 in/lb for the binder. I went to 85 in/lb. I usually get by fine with 55 in/lb. (I'm using the Campy binder now.)

However, Campy specs 160-195 in/lb for the cradle bolt. I stopped at 130 in/lb because I got scared.

Does anyone else go all the way to 160 in/lb, or beyond?

In unrelated news, the Record seatpost blows away the USE. I can't believe I put up with that messed up cradle for this long, and I actually started out using the Alien cradle. What a POS. And no setback. *** is up with that?

Edit: I've been running the setup for a while now with the cradle bolt at 175in/lb with no problems.
