View Full Version : PSA Carbon Serotta frame in Portland, OR --
Seems very sketchy...hoping someone here didn't have their bike stolen but it looks like a small frame from the few photos there are.

Stolen
Serotta stopped all production in 2013.
The photos are poor and the frame is sitting in the back of some guys pickup. No rims but one flat tire.
I would be great if the bike could be returned to its owner and the seller busted.

Looks like Ultegra Di2 as well...sad for the owner of the bike!

No size, production was halted in 2013, no wheels and a broken handlebar. Tell tale signs of a stolen bike:bike:

"May trade for small car or truck"
Getaway vehicle?
Definitely seems sketchy..I remember the MeiVici not being cheap.
I message the ad and the guy replies with his cell phone number and that he lives in Gresham. He texts me and says:
"wattup, I have the bike available. I'm leaving town soon."
Is this sort of thing reportable?

Dang, that's terrible for the real owner.
Wouldn't give me the serial number..."says he got the bike from a guy in Santa Barbara. He built a motor for him and installed it...the guy gave him cash and the bike. He was some kind of racer, he has a whole garage of badass bikes."

Maybe worth a call to Portland Police and fill them in. If he has a garage full, it might be worth their time to try to bust him. A stolen Meivici or HSG (I can't tell which it is) is pretty rare, so there is probably a record.

Portland Police do care about this stuff. I was involved in the re-capture of a stolen race bike about 2 years ago. I was simultaneously texting and speaking on the phone with the bike owner, the thief/seller, and the portland police. The seller thought I was meeting him at the Gateway transit center and I was running a few minutes late. I told him I was approaching and he told me where he was and what he was wearing, while I said I could not find him. While the police were on their way. They got there and busted him, all while I lay in my bed.
Would Gresham fall under Portland police? He wants to meet up..and I want him to get busted. I'm in Eugene lol.

This is not the scam you think it is, he is leaving town soon, he'll want a wire. he doesn't actually have the bike.
very common craigs scam these days.
