Would like something like this on my gravel bike packing bike.

Drilling holes in the top tube of a carbon frame... is this stupid?

Lots of options out there that don't require drilling.
Revelate would be my first thought, but I've been meaning to get something from oveja negra for awhile now.

I won't exactly call it stupid. Anything is possible i guess..

Personally, I will just stick with Velcro.

Why not just epoxy bosses or brackets where you want it? No reason to drill at all.

That so called tech is a complete hack with a drill and shouldn't be allowed near one until he learns how to use it!

The way he bottoms out the drill bits on the bottom inner wall of the top tube is a crime!

Needs to learn how to use a stop collar or piece of tape and a Center drill bit.

Would I do it on my bike, no unless it was a frame I was taking to my grave. Would it hasten my trip to a grave, no.

The top tube has thinner walls than the down or seat tubes. You could tear out a rivnut or damage the carbon around it. I would advise against it.
