Iam bringing my authintic movie molded Darth Vader Mask and Breathing Speaker to work in honor of May the 4th.

I promised my 6 year old son we would play Light Sabre fights tonight. He was so excited all day. When he seen me at Soccer Practice he reminded me of my promise. He did all his homework and took his bath as fast as he could to have the Light Sabre fight. We went outside in the dark it was just like Return of the Jedi when Darth Vader and Luke have the epic battle.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan but the whole May the 4th thing is also hugely corporate/marketing.. I kind of like the idea of Dave Brubeck day.

The thing is mentioning 5/4 time flies over the head of just about everyone who doesn't actively participate in playing music.

I did listen to Time Out yesterday.

Yes that is ironic, and it's not like Time Out is all about 5/4, some of the other stuff like Blue Rondo a la Turk is even more far out.

But all of it's more authentic than Star Wars at this point.. it's like May the 4th is just another way for Disney to get its stock to go up.
