As the title implies, this question concerns front derailleurs. Do Serottas require braze-on or clamp-on front derailleurs? I think the answer is clamp-on. If so, do I need 34.9mm or 31.8mm?

Models and age differ. Think you might do better specifying the model you're addressing.

Current Serottas use a 34.9 clamp-on dérailleur.

Models I'm considering are Concours, La Corsa and Fierte. Hopefully Dave Thompson's reply is correct with respect to all 3.

The La Corsa and the Fierte do not have a swaged seat tube, and therefore do not use the 34.9 front der clamp like the Concours.

Do you know what clamp the La Corsa and Fierte would use?
