Will Shimano R650 brake calipers accommodate 45mm fenders, or will they choke them? It seems that 40mm fenders will work okay, but I have not tried 45mm with them. Anyone have experience with this? TRP 957s seem like they have a wider arch so I assume those will work better?

I run 41mm Honjos on my R650 equipped bike. Judging by eyeball, 45 would not work.

This was my gut. I prefer R650s over TRP 957s, but I prefer 32s over 28s more.

Does anyone know for sure whether R650s are compatible with Honjo 45s?

or Honjo 43s?

Just to be clear, do you mean R650, or BR650? I'm having fits with my BR650s trying to fit fenders. I think I've given up. (Maybe I should go with smaller tires to make them fit, though.)

If it is useful, I could post some pictures.

My BR-650s "choke" my Bertoud 40mm fenders a wee bit. My next fendered bike will get center pulls.

The current long reach Shimano brakes, think the are actually called BR R650.
