Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a Di2 with an external battery to internal?
Cheers.

Yeah, you can switch out the batteries to the inline style. Unless you are talking about using you're old battery and taking it apart or something. Then I wouldn't suggest that.

You'll need to replace the junction A box to get the charge port...and the wire from junction B to the battery may need to be longer?

You'll also need to replace the external junction B with an internal junction B. Consider your seatpost as well.

While on the subject- is there a good hack/bodge way to just stick the battery into a seatpost? Wrap it with inner tube and jam it in place?

Bar tape works fine for me I've found...the "rubbery" stuff seems to work best but YMMV...

A fairly universal solution is available for ~$10 from Ritchey / Zipp / Mpart / etc. Works slightly better than the tape/jam option, depending on seatpost.

For the Redline, I had an FSA battery-specific seatpost for it (still have it). For the Ritchey, I use the Rtichey adapter shown above. For the Felt, I wrapped it in bubble wrap and crammed it in there.

Thanks! I may not take it on yet, but now I know what I'm in for.

If you decide to go for it, if you want to try synchro shifting, you'll need the latest BT-DN110 battery, not the older SM-BTR2. The charger is the same for both.

Yes except not on first gen DA 10s Di2.
If it's already internally wired the conversion is simple. There are specific seatposts to mount the battery, but I personally just put the battery in the seat tube wrapped in plastic bubbles.

Not with Shimano parts. I made my own internal battery for 7970. That system used a dumb battery so it was just a matter of packaging.
