Specialized Prevail II helmet - discounted?

I've looked a bit to see if anyone discounts this helmet and it doesn't appear so.

Am I wrong?

No discounts on Specialized unless you find it in their closeout section of their website. Often top tier brands do not allow discounting. But most local shops will often cut 10 or maybe 15% off the price - especially if you are a good customer. You need to visit your shop that carries Specialized and talk to them. The Prevail II is a very nicely made helmut.

online, no. i think they have fairly strict price controls, especially online. my lbs has seasonal sales and specialized only sales from time to time tho. worth checking around to see. fwiw, the biggest discounts i've been able to get on spec'd is post holiday sales when entire categories were discounted. ie, all helmets and gloves 35% off or some such.
