I have a Zanc that I love. Years ago, I was on Curt Goodrich's waitlist. By the time I was up, my wife and I were becoming my wife and me. I had him make the bike for her. Steel is real. Matt at District Cycle Works installed the Campy 11 speed on both bikes. If you are in DC, he is the man to go to.

That is a great looking bike. I hope your wife gets some use of it in NYC.

I bought a used Goodrich from the Classifieds and it is one of the best bikes I have ever ridden. Simply an outstanding, responsive, fun bike to ride.
Mine has longer chain stays. I had a legend that had longer stays - that was a great bike.

Curt deserves more positive press.

I have heard a number of folks said it in the past including dbrk pal, Curt is one of the most gifted framebuilders around.

Curt is a hell of a nice guy, as well as a great frame builder. I learn so much from him each time I talk to him.

To be clear, that is one Zanc and one Goodrich. Of course, in an impeccable display of poor timing, as we are gearing up to move to NYC, we acquired the XC90 in September of last year, and I have a Goodrich incoming . . . d'oh!

It's a great SUV. We have 12 years and 300,000 km on ours.

So, of course this begs the question, taking into account different wheels... Does the chicken offer an unbiased opinion?

Mzilliox,
Great minds, and all that. Is your Zanc steel or Alu? I thought long and hard of getting an Aluminum from Mike, but I cannot hide my weakness for lugged steel.

brazed mini max on the Zanc, lugged oversized true temper on the Goodrich. all steel all the time here!

Zanconato prob weighs 17ish and Goodrich 18ish. Im being conservative. With steel this light who needs anything else?

oh, and the ride, man, the ride.

Love the chicken. Just adds a bit of irony and nonsense that is what it is. :)
