Terrible news.
One of the most liked and respected riders in the peloton. So sad that just 5 days ago he bought home two Tour of the Alps (ex-Giro del Trentino) leaders jerseys, for his two twin sons, and had also just been named Astana captain for the Giro.

Watched him in the Tour of the Alps last week. Amazing to see him come through with a stage win at 37!! So much left to live for with a wife and two beautiful children. Pulled out my favorite jersey for todays ride in honor of his passing.

This incident continues to be so sad, even beyond the emotions for his wife and twins.
